Jennifer Seigel, RN, CPNP, CWCN, a pediatric nurse practitioner at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, won an “Excellence in Nursing Award” in the surgery category from St. Louis Magazine
for 2011. She was one of 19 winners in 16 categories chosen from among more than 150 nominations and honored in the May 2011 issue of the magazine.
Seigel has worked at the hospital since 1998. She is a certified wound care nurse who has worked for many years on the Pediatric Acute Wound Service (PAWS) unit, which treats children with burns and a variety of wounds on both an inpatient and outpatient basis, and on the general surgery team. She also has worked with Healthy Kids Express, the hospital’s pediatric mobile unit.
Seigel earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Deaconess College of Nursing in St. Louis in 1998 and a master of science in nursing degree in 2003 from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner.
